Category I Awards
These awards are for outstanding contributions to understanding and communication of efforts to produce energy, minerals, and water with minimal impact on the environment and for contributions to public understanding of our professional responsibility, whether by members of DEG or others.
  • DEG Public Outreach Award
    For efforts and accomplishments in projecting, promoting, and presenting environmental concerns and subjects to the public-at-large.

    DEG Research Award
    For contributions and achievements in the field of environmental and/or geoenvironmental research.

  • DEG Teaching Award
    For excellence and dedication in the field of teaching environmental geology and/or related subjects. Open to all levels of academic instruction.
Category II Awards
These awards are for outstanding contributions to understanding and communication of efforts to produce energy, minerals, and water with minimal impact on the environment and for contributions to public understanding of our professional responsibility, by members of DEG.
  • President's Award
    The most distinguished award for the Division, for contributions for the advancement and betterment of the science and profession of environmental geoscience.

  • Honorary Membership
    For those persons who have distinguished themselves by their service and devotion to the science and profession of environmental geoscience and to the Division.

  • Certificates of Merit
    For outstanding contribution to and meritorious service for the betterment of the Division and its membership.
